The volume model — and why it deserves its own tooling
The standard iPhone 17 is the single biggest installed base in the range. It is the handset that walks into a phone shop most often, which makes it the line that keeps a shelf card earning between flagship launches. Coverage front to back

The rigid outer plate carries the impact and the flexible inner shell absorbs it, so a drop is taken in stages instead of being passed straight through to the body. Worth stocking wherever cracked phones turn into returns.
A magnet ring is laminated into the back plate and aligned for MagSafe chargers and magnetic car mounts, so the magnetic accessories the customer already owns work without an added metal plate.
