The Ultra body: the largest camera island in the Samsung line

The Ultra carries the biggest camera housing of any S-series body, and the corners are squared rather than rounded. Both facts change the case: the opening has to clear a raised housing that sits close to the edge, and a squared corner needs a different reinforcement profile than a rounded one, because the load on impact arrives at a point rather than along a curve.

It is also the heaviest body in the range, so the wall carries more. Buyers who sell into the Ultra segment are usually selling to people who keep the phone two or three years and expect the case to last with it — which is why this is a poor place to save material, and a good place to sell up to a thicker build.

The matte build without the ring

Cut for the Galaxy S26 Ultra on this model’s own drawing — the back plate opens around the Ultra’s dense array of individual lens rings, and the frame is offset so the shell lies flat where the lenses protrude. Leaving out the ring gives a flatter back and one fewer component, which suits accounts whose buyers already use a separate mount. If you need magnetic mounting, Matte Skin-Feel MagSafe is the identical shell with the ring laminated in.
