The compact Pro, and the thickness problem

The 16 Pro is the smaller of the two Pro bodies, and buyers choose it because it still fits a hand. That puts a specific constraint on the case: every additional millimetre of wall is felt immediately, so protection has to be concentrated rather than spread evenly around the rim.

Two features that do not usually share a shell

It is easy to find a stand case, and easy to find a colour-shift case, but not both in one build — a patterned back usually leaves no clean surface for a stand mechanism. Here the ring is recessed into the moulding, so the gradient still runs unbroken around it and the ring does the work of a prop, a grip and a hook. Closed, the back reads as a plain gradient panel.

The colour is layered rather than printed, so it changes hue with the angle instead of looking flat. Because the shell is one piece, there is no seam for the gloss to lift along. The camera opening clears the 16 Pro’s triple-camera plateau, the side cuts sit on the model’s own button positions, and the Camera Control is left uncovered.
