A Single Angle, Deliberately
A stand with five positions sounds more capable until it is used daily. Forty-five degrees is the angle that works for watching video on a desk and for keeping a call visible, and it is reached in one movement. Nothing has to be hunted for and nothing wears out, because there is only one position to find.
Shell and prop are one moulding, so the pivot sits inside the case rather than bolted to the outside — no plate on the back and no screw to loosen. The soft-touch coat resists fingerprints and stops the phone sliding on a smooth surface, and the magnet ring is set within the rear panel so the case still mounts to a puck or a car holder with the stand closed.
